Inspect

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does "high confidence" actually mean here?

It is a rule the engine is held to, not a slogan. A finding is auto-reported only when the visual evidence for its code clears the bar. Anything below the bar becomes a question to you - with the reason attached - instead of a guess in your report.

Which systems can Inspect analyze today?

The registry covers 17 home systems and 591 coded defects. The plumbing sink line is live end-to-end - 58 codes with evidence rules and market pricing - and the remaining systems roll out on the same registry, so reports stay comparable as coverage grows.

How are repair prices localized?

From GPS, the property resolves to its county, and the county to the metro market it legally belongs to under federal delineations. Each estimate is the registry range for that code multiplied by that market - a range two real contractors could quote, never an invented midpoint.

Can I edit a report in the browser?

Yes - you edit the analysis, not the document. Change a finding, a quantity or a note and the report regenerates from the corrected data, so the on-screen card, the JSON and the download can never disagree with each other.

What happens to my photos and videos?

Every upload is hashed on arrival, so the same file is recognized and never billed twice. Media stays in your workspace and is used as evidence: each finding cites the exact photo - or the exact seconds of footage - that proves it.

Does Inspect replace a human inspector?

No. It codes what it can prove and routes everything else to a person, with the reason stated. Inspectors deliver the results under their own name; the engine takes the coding, pricing and paperwork off their hands - not the judgement.

How much does Inspect cost?

A $49/month seat covers the live systems with analyses included under fair use, and a duplicate photo is never billed twice - that is a database constraint, not a policy. Teams run $199/month for five seats, and portfolios or lenders price per volume with API access.

What is a taxonomy code like PLFISIFARP01?

A twelve-character identity that spells out exactly where a defect lives: system, category, sub-category, component, severity, and its number in the group. Identical defects carry identical codes in every report, which is what makes findings comparable across properties.

Why do some findings require video?

A photograph has no time axis. Conditions about time - a slow drain, a blocked line, something inoperative - can only be proven by a span of footage, and the finding cites the exact seconds that prove it. A still photo of standing water routes to review instead.

Can we bring our own defect library?

Yes - that is the enterprise onboarding. Your historical calls are mined, de-duplicated and encoded into the governed registry, with every mapping decision recorded for your review, so your practice keeps its own voice on top of the standard structure.
