PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: September 6, 2026
This policy explains what information Inspect.com collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what the Service needs to analyze your property media and produce auditable reports - and we do not sell your data.
1. What We Collect
Account information (such as your name and email address); the photos and video you upload, including embedded metadata such as capture time and GPS coordinates when present; the findings, edits and reports generated from them; and basic usage information needed to run and secure the Service.
2. How We Use It
Uploaded media is analyzed to produce findings, and each file is fingerprinted by content hash so duplicates are recognized and never billed twice. GPS metadata is used to resolve the property's county and pricing market. Media is retained as the evidence your reports cite - a report can always show the photo or the seconds of footage behind a finding. Expert-reviewed results may be used to calibrate and improve the analysis rules.
3. How It Is Stored
Media is stored privately in cloud object storage, addressed by content hash, and is not publicly listed. Analysis results are keyed to the exact registry version they were computed under, which is what keeps reports reproducible over time.
4. Who We Share It With
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the service providers required to operate the Service - cloud hosting and storage, and the AI model provider that processes images during analysis - under agreements limiting their use of it, and where the law requires disclosure.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
The website uses browser storage for simple preferences such as your light-or-dark theme choice. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
6. Your Choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Deleting media that reports cite as evidence may limit what those reports can prove afterward - we will explain the consequences before acting on such a request.
7. Children
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
8. Changes and Contact
If this policy changes, the current version will always be on this page with its date above, and material changes will be announced in the Service. Questions? Contact us.
