TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: September 6, 2026
Welcome to Inspect.com. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Inspect.com website, applications and services (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service Is
Inspect.com analyzes photos and video of residential properties and returns coded findings from a governed defect registry, together with severity calls and localized repair estimates. Findings describe what the analysis could support from the material you provide; where the evidence is insufficient, the Service asks for review instead of reporting a conclusion.
2. Findings Are Informational
Results produced by the Service - including AI-generated findings, severity classifications and repair estimates - are informational. They are not a licensed home inspection, appraisal, engineering opinion or legal advice, and they do not replace inspections required by law, contract or a lender in your jurisdiction. Repair estimates are ranges based on registry data and market multipliers; actual contractor pricing may differ.
3. Your Content
You keep ownership of the photos, video and other material you upload. You grant Inspect.com the license needed to operate the Service: storing your material, processing it (including through third-party AI model providers), generating findings and reports from it, and retaining it as the evidence your reports cite. You are responsible for having the right to upload the material you submit.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempts to breach or overload our systems, no scraping or reselling of registry data outside the features we provide, and no uploading of content you have no right to share. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Accounts and Payment
Paid plans are billed as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Duplicate uploads detected by content hash are never billed twice. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise in writing.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service - including the defect registry structure, taxonomy codes, software and site content - belongs to Inspect.com and its licensors. Reports generated for you are yours to use; the underlying registry remains ours.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inspect.com disclaims all warranties, and our total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
8. Changes and Termination
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves; the current version is always on this page with its date above. Material changes will be announced in the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time; we may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms.
9. Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Questions about them? Contact us.
